ID an old relay / contactor

Can anyone identify this?  It looks like a set of 3 relays or a 3-pole contactor ( although the armatures are not connected).  The small center solenoid and right solenoid are wrapped by torsion springs,  but I can't quite figure out what they do because of the corrosion. Any ideas?  Vintage?

And these were discovered in an abandoned coal mine? or ancient Egypt?
